Metro Planned Developments CC is seeking a highly experienced Site Agent to join our building and construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full site management from site establishment to practical completion
* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labour, and suppliers
* Manage daily site operations, progress, and productivity
* Prepare, update, and manage construction programmes
* Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and construction standards
* Enforce health & safety regulations in line with the OHS Act
* Coordinate inspections with consultants and local authorities
* Control materials, plant, and site resources
* Maintain site records, daily site diaries, and quality control documentation
* Identify and resolve site issues and implement corrective actions
Min Requirements:
* 10+ years’ experience as a Site Agent in building construction
* Minimum undergraduate qualification in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related built-environment discipline
* Strong experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
* Programmes – MS Project (essential)
* Ability to prepare, manage, and report on construction programmes
* Sound understanding of construction methods and sequencing
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
* Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour
* Working knowledge of health & safety regulations
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
